Day One

Well I guess I should start out my blog by telling a little about myself. I am currently at student at Northern Michigan University majoring in Electronic Journalism. I have less than a year before I should be done with my program, but you never know. I am the youngest of three daughters. While I love my family very much, I am not as close them like other familys are. See, both my sisters were off to college before I even really got a chance to grow up with them. Right now I am home for the holidays for the first time in a year. My family lives in Portage Wisconsin and we are know as the dragon masters due to the 17 foot steel dragon in our front yard that acually breaths fire (every family has their quirks). I love being home but over the years I have become really attached to Marquette MI, Gods backyard. It is beautiful up there, right on lake superior, with not too big of a population but enough to keep it busy. It was up there that I met the love of my life Will Barker, or as I like to call him "Willard." We are just dating, but I know in my heart that he is the guy for me. After college I hope to get a job as a reporter or producer for a tv station in the midwest, but I will keep my mind open to all possibilities. Thats about me in a nut shell. I also love to be active. I am part of the Crew team at Northern (rowing), and was on the club volleyball team for a season. I am always up for going to NMU hockey games, or taking a hike up the local mountain no matter what the weather is like. I cheer for the Packers, but I am no longer a Brett Farve fan. I always go to at least one Brewers/Cubs game a year. My motto in life is "try not to stress and take chances." I am happy that you took the time to read my blog. I hope that I will be able to keep it up to date in the future. Peace!
